After being selected, tutors also undergo a semester of training to expand their abilities, making them more effective at asking questions and explaining information. As a result, the population of tutors at the Tutorial Center is comprised of a talented group of students who show a sufficient level of skill and a lasting interest in the subject. All of these factors combined contribute to a dedicated force of individuals committed to the intellectual growth of the college.
Despite the budget cuts, the Tutorial Center is working hard to accomplish its goal: helping students of all disciplines find success.
Hastings assures "Cuesta is a good place to start." Help is available by appointment. And what does it cost per week? Zero dollars. The cost of asking whatever questions you want? Zero dollars. Walking out of an exam with an ear-to-ear grin? Priceless.
